The Real Underemployment Figure Is 22.5% – The Consumerist

From October 2010 when the official unemployment rate was 9.6%.  When people who were no longer seeking employment, people who had dropped off unemployment rolls because they had exhausted their benefits, and people who were under-employed were added in, the true unemployment rate reached 22.5%.
