Inequality: The gap widens, again | The Economist

Article discussing the fact that the income gap between the wealthiest Americans and everybody else has begun to widen again. This is in contrast to income inequality following the Great Depression when it leveled off and remained consistent for a significant period. The article states that, “…there was little reason to expect enduring change from the Great Recession. The Depression hurt the rich, but it was the regulatory and tax changes that followed which made a lasting impact on income distribution. Regulatory reform in the wake of the latest crash has been far more restrained.”
